Grant Officer

Sarah Hansen served as a Board Member of the Foundation from its inception in 2015. Before becoming a Grant Officer for the Foundation in April of 2020, she taught high school English in San Jose, CA. Sarah graduated from the University of Missouri Columbia with a BS in English and BS in Secondary Education. She has teaching experience spanning three states and varied ages. Sarah loves all aspects of education, but it’s the students, their unique stories and passions, that made teaching incredible and currently make her work at the Foundation so rewarding. An avid reader, Sarah appreciates book recommendations. In her free time, Sarah chases her quickly growing toddler, cheers loudly at her son's soccer games, fails at keeping houseplants alive, and goes on neighborhood walks with her husband and dog. They live in Columbia, MO.
