Grant Officer

Sarah Hansen served as a Board Member of the Foundation since its inception in 2015. Before becoming a Grant Officer in April of 2020, she taught American Literature at Valley Christian High School in San Jose, CA, to juniors and seniors. Her past work experience with the College and Career Counseling department of Valley Christian, as well as her daily classroom experience as an educator, bring a "hand's on" knowledge and approach to the team.

Sarah loves all aspects of education, but it’s the students, their unique stories and passions, that made teaching incredible and currently make her work at the foundation so rewarding. An English major in college and avid leisure reader, Sarah appreciates book recommendations. In her free time, Sarah chases her quickly growing toddler, fails at keeping houseplants alive, and goes on neighborhood walks with her husband.
