What is the application deadline?
APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED FOR THE CLASS OF 2027
***We review applications on a rolling basis. We accept a total of 3,000 completed and eligible applications, and will close the application when we reach 3,000 OR on May 1, 2026 - whichever occurs first.
Why should I apply well in advance of the deadline?
We review all eligible Applicants fully and fairly, regardless of when they apply. However, there are some benefits to applying early.
We limit the number of Applications we will review to 3,000. If we exceed our limit of 3,000 applications prior to the Deadline, we cannot guarantee a submission will be reviewed. We will make a note on our website and on our social media platforms if we are approaching this limit, to notify prospective Applicants.

Transcripts and Recommendations may be submitted BEFORE OR AFTER your application, but must be received by the Deadline for your submission to be considered complete.
If I am not awarded the Cameron Impact Scholarship, are there other merit-based programs that I should explore?
There are! While we are honored to award a significant number of merit-based scholarships each year, we recognize that there are many deserving candidates out there whom we are not able recognize through our program alone.

Is the scholarship need-based?
The Cameron Impact Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship. It is open to all applicants who meet the GPA and citizenship requirements, regardless of race, socioeconomic status, religion, sexual orientation or any other background factors. Integrity, intelligence, motivation, work ethic, and willingness to serve others are the strongest indicators of a worthy educational investment. We will never ask you any personal or familial financial information. Financial need is not taken into consideration in our evaluation process.
Why does the Foundation emphasize equity and inclusion in a merit-based program?
The Foundation is and will remain merit-based. Equity and inclusion help us evaluate merit more accurately by ensuring that achievement, leadership, and impact are understood in context, rather than measured solely by access or advantage. This approach does not make the scholarship needs-based, nor does it lower standards. Instead, it allows us to recognize exceptional performance, resilience, and initiative across different paths to excellence. When high-merit scholars with diverse experiences come together, the result is a stronger community that compounds impact through collaboration, shared learning, and mutual influence.
Equity Defined
Equity means evaluating merit and achievement in context. At the Bryan Cameron Education Foundation, equity does not replace merit and it does not make the scholarship needs-based. It guides how we assess excellence by considering what an individual has accomplished relative to the opportunities and resources available to them. We maintain consistently high standards for all scholars while recognizing that leadership, impact, and resilience are demonstrated differently depending on starting points. Equity strengthens merit by allowing us to identify exceptional performance, drive, and potential across a wider range of circumstances.
