Scholar Highlight - Zoe Weiss, Harvard/MIT MD-PhD Student, CamFam 2019

Zoe grew up in Atlanta, GA, and the first time we spoke with her, she shared that she wanted to revolutionalize healthcare on a global level.  At age 17, she was  developing effective, low-cost approaches to disease detection and treatment.  Zoe continued her studies iin Molecular and Cellular Biology at Harvard, while conducting research and volunteering at Mass General's free clinic. Today, she is continuing her work in healthcare as she pursues an MD-PhD at Harvard/MIT with a focuys on antiobiotic resistance....

Scholar Highlight - Trisha Prabhu, Change Agent, Activist and Founder & CEO, CamFam 2018

Trisha grew up in Naperville, IL and started to fight the silent pandemic of online hate with ReThink, her patented anti-cyberbullying technology.  Following her studies of Government and Economics at Harvard, Trisha is continuing her work with ReThink Citizens, a youth-led nonprofit empowering today's young people to cereate the digital world that they deserve while she also pursues a JD at Yale Law School....

Scholar Highlight - Jay Mehta, Legislative Correspondent and Staff Assistant, CamFam 2019

Jay grew up in Overland Park, KS and has a long-time passion for the performance arts and history.  At Yale, he completed his BA in Global Affairs and then an MA in History. He wrote a manuscript on the role of Congress in the US War in Afghanistan, and is currently working in the Office of Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries as an intern in the Democratic Cloakroom....

Scholar Highlight - Molly Smith, Writer and Filmmaker, CamFam 2020
Orlando, FL

Molly grew up in Florida and has been a storytelling since before college, with her first public service announcement on gun control and student voice.  At Yale, she continued her filmmaking, writing, and dancing.  In 2024, she founded Mission Mariposa, a community supporting youth and young adults through cancer treatment...

Scholar Highlight - Abby Kambhampaty, Public Health Warrior, CamFam 2021
Syracuse, NY

Abby was raised by a village of immigrants and wants to give back. In high school, was a tutor, mentor, and refugee youth enrichment project creator.  In college, she double majored in Biology and Anthropology, and focused on intersections of social justice, climate change, and healthcare.  Today, she is working for a community medicine program in homeless healthcare and HIV health literacy....
